New! Referee Training

Get started on your path to reffing field hockey with DFHA and be offered paid games to referee directly after your training with us. Become a part of our local referee network this summer! 

Starting this spring, DFHA will offer adult referee coaching sessions for groups and individuals for $45 with Diego Cazares, our Referee Director and an international umpire.

Our referees earn about $50 per game, so the training pays for itself after your very first game. Referee training sessions will be announced here after the schedule is confirmed. Sign-up today!

Spring League | Friday’s 6-7 pm

Pick-up Field Hockey at DE Turf, April 4—May 30

Join us this spring for our pick-up league (8-dates) Friday’s from 6-7 pm! This is a flexible, friendly, relaxed playing environment with make-your-own calls and no referees or trainers. We draw teams weekly with a shuffle of field hockey sticks. This is the perfect introductory opportunity into DFHA or way to get started with field hockey again. If you’ve been playing, we view it as a warm-up to outdoor from the winter season.

Key Dates

  • Feb. 24: DFHA Spring League registration opens.
  • March 15: $80 Early-bird registration deadline.
  • March 16: $90 Standard registration.
  • April 4: Spring League registration closes.

Player Registration

The league registration is $80 per player for the full season (8-games) April through May. This includes a league wristband. This league if for players 16 years old and above.
