Join A DFHA Beach Bash Tournament Team!

Baltimore Field Hockey Association is hosting the 22nd annual Beach Bash Adult Field Hockey Tournament! Join DFHA at DE Turf on April 29th-30th for Beach Bash 2023!

Schedule & Highlights
- Each team will play a minimum of 6 games (3 games per day), approximately 30-35 minutes each (the exact schedule will depend on the final number of teams).
- We’ll also be holding a men’s game!
Format: Full-field 11v11 on 4 turf fields; up to 24 teams will be accepted - Adults only; participants must be at least 18 years old (younger players will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require a parental waiver).
- Each player may play on ONLY ONE team.
- Divisions: Mixed 1 (maximum of one male field player allowed; goalie neutral)
Mixed 3 (maximum of three male field players allowed; goalie neutral)
USAFH
All players must be USA Field Hockey members, either with an annual membership or a temporary 2-day membership. Players without an annual USAFH membership will NOT need to obtain their own temporary 2-day membership; BFHA will provide those at no additional cost to you!
Forfeit Fee:
A team that forfeits a game during the tournament must pay a $125 fee.
Withdrawal:
Any team that needs to withdraw from the tournament after registering must do so in writing to bfhabeachbash@gmail.com before March 15th, 2023, to receive a partial refund of $750 (tournament fee minus $150 cancellation fee). No refunds will be granted for teams that withdraw after March 15th.
Rosters:
Final rosters are due Monday, April 24th (more details will be sent to participating teams). After April 24th, you may remove players but cannot add players.
Uniforms:
All teams are required to bring both WHITE shirts/shin guards and DARK shirts/shin guards. Numbers on shirts are preferred.
T-Shirts:
Teams will be able to pre-order Beach Bash tournament T-shirts again this year! Pre-ordered T-shirts will be available at a discounted rate and will be distributed at the tournament. Details for pre-ordering T-shirts will be sent to registered teams later. T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the tournament!
Waiver:
All participants must sign a waiver (which will be distributed to registered teams) to play in the tournament. Participants who are under 18 will require a waiver from a parent or guardian.
Weather: In case of inclement weather, tournament organizers will reach out to teams via email and on the Facebook group (BFHA Beach Bash). If the tournament is canceled due to inclement weather, partial refunds will be granted.
Rules:
Beach Bash will follow FIH rules, with slight modifications specific to this tournament (e.g., length of games). A full list of rules will be circulated to all registered teams.
